My sc belt is moving one rib over toward the alternator. This causes the belt to rub against the alternator case and make the squeal. Any ideas how to re-align things to make it not jump over like that?

A misplaced washer, perhaps?

I had that problem once it was the tentioner pulley that was just loose (spindle lock Nut) the belt was tight because the tentioner pulley was held tight against the belt with the adjusting bolt.

when you say spindle lock nut i'm a little confused. on the SC tensioner pulley the only bolts I know of are the two that hold the pulley bracket to the adjustment bracket and the adjustment knob itself.
Thanks for the reply, I just need to know where this bolt is.
